Help Make a Difference with Community Fundraising Events

Where You'll Make an Impact

What You'll Be Doing

Can you spare a few hours to create real change in your community? We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our nationwide fundraising initiative this autumn and winter.

Between October and December, you'll be part of something bigger - a coordinated effort across the UK to raise vital funds that support families facing serious health challenges. Your role is simple but powerful: help collect donations at local venues and community spaces.

Whether you can give a morning, an afternoon, or multiple days, your contribution matters. We'll match you with a convenient location near you and provide everything you need to succeed - collection materials, guidance, and ongoing support throughout your volunteer experience.

Collections are happening nationwide, so there's likely a venue close to where you live or work. This is your chance to have fun while making a tangible difference in the lives of families who need it most.

You must be 16 years or older to volunteer for this opportunity.

About the Organization

This initiative supports families during some of the most challenging times in their lives. Every day, families across the UK receive difficult news and face journeys that change everything. Treatment is often immediate and can continue for extended periods.

The organization provides comprehensive support including specialized healthcare professionals - nurses, social workers, youth workers, and play specialists - who guide families through every step. Financial assistance helps cover unexpected costs, while free accommodation near treatment centers ensures families can stay together. Holiday opportunities give families precious time to reconnect and recover.

Support begins from the moment of diagnosis and continues through treatment, recovery, and beyond, helping whole families cope with the profound impact on their lives.

What We're Looking For

You don't need any previous experience - just bring your enthusiasm and willingness to help. The most important qualities are:

  • A positive, friendly attitude that makes people feel comfortable
  • Reliability and punctuality for your chosen time slot
  • Comfort interacting with members of the public
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Passion for making a real difference in your community

What's In It For You

Volunteering with us offers more than just the satisfaction of helping others. You'll:

  • Gain hands-on experience in fundraising and community engagement
  • Develop valuable communication and interpersonal skills
  • Build confidence through public interaction
  • Connect with like-minded people who share your values
  • Create memories and have fun with friends, family, or colleagues
  • Make a measurable impact - your efforts directly support families in need
  • Enhance your CV with meaningful volunteer experience
